LOGISTICS OF THE TRAVEL
As opposed to classic projects carried out in normal conditions, the “Willys Go Home” project is one of a kind, complex, and unique. The unusual nature of the undertaking translates directly into the level of advancement of the preparations for its performance that will guarantee safety to its members and ensure the success of the travel. We are going to use every available and tested safety methods and tools, as well as to assume the rule of duplication of the equipment for the travel:
- the members’ clothing made of special membranes and thermoactive fabrics,
- lyophilized food and food obtained during the trip,
- GPS connection and satellite communication based on the system of geocentric satellites (safety of the members and security of evacuation routes),
- transport – vehicles:
– Willys MB 43 the main hero of the project – double hybrid swimming system
with 2 stern drive engines operating with a power of 100 KM each,
– 2 trucks (Kamaz or Jelcz) 4X4 and 6X6 with carriages suited for the social and housing function for 10-12 individuals,
– 2 special truck trailers for transporting the supporting vehicles of the travel (quad, rover, snow scooters, balloon) and the equipment of the travel,
– 2 off-road vehicles, rover 4X4 and quad 4X4,
– 2 snow scooters,
– hot air balloon, - television and documenting equipment – the travel will be equipped and handled via professional devices of television and photographic registration supported by 2 drones.
